Step into our comprehensive HVAC-R Service Technician lab, where experienced trainers await for hands-on experience in refrigeration, heat pumps, fuel burners, boilers, and all facets of electrical troubleshooting.

Apprenticeship Coordinator

With 30 years of expertise in the sheet metal trade, Bruce Bold serves as our dedicated Apprenticeship Coordinator. With over 12 years as a Training Coordinator and Sheet Metal Instructor, Bruce brings a wealth of knowledge to our apprenticeship programs. His specialties include architectural and commercial HVAC, coupled with a mastery of custom fabrication and welding techniques. Bruce’s career spans across diverse landscapes, from Alaska and Montana to Idaho and even Antarctica. Recognized as a Certified Welding Inspector/Test Supervisor/Facility Representative by the American Welding Society, Bruce has completed over 500 hours of instructor training. Holding the esteemed OSHA 500 Certified Instructor title and serving as an Industrial Laser Safety Officer, Bruce is committed to shaping the next generation of skilled professionals at Alaska Metal & Mechanical Apprenticeship.

Billy Bridges is our HVAC-R Program Coordinator and aproud US Army veteran. With 25 years in the HVAC-R service industry, Billy’s expertise spans Texas, Iraq, St. Thomas, and Alaska. A graduate of South West Texas Junior College, Billy serves as a Service Instructor and holds the title of OSHA 500 Certified Instructor. Bringing a wealth of hands-on experience, Billy is dedicated to teaching and passing his knowledge of the trade to the next generation of HVAC-R professionals at Alaska Metal & Mechanical Apprenticeship.

Keisha Hewitt has been our valued Administrative Specialist at AMMA since November 2016. Keisha’s journey into the realm of administration began with the successful completion of vocational school, earning certificates in Computer and Office Technology Levels 1 and 2. These foundational certifications laid the groundwork for her expertise in accounting.

Originating from Mariposa, California, a small town outside Yosemite National Park, Keisha’s journey has taken her to different corners of the country, including Hagerman, Idaho, and Bozeman, Montana. Currently, she calls Alaska home, residing with her husband and their corgi puppies. For over ten years, they’ve immersed themselves in the Alaskan lifestyle, enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and exploring the wilderness on their 4-wheelers and much more.
